The prompt

Imagine could talk. It has watched me every day from the same spot, and it has opinions. Before you write anything, ask me five quick questions, one at a time: where it sits and what it can see from there, what it watches me do most, what I say out loud when I think I’m alone, how well I look after it, and what has changed around here lately. Then write its monologue in the first person, under 150 words: what it has noticed, what puzzles it about me, and the one thing it would ask me for. Fond and dry, not flattering, built only from my answers. If you have to invent a detail, invent one about its own life, not mine.
