I’ve been learning and I want to know whether I understand it or only recognize it. In my next message I’ll explain it from memory, in my own words. For now, reply only with ‘Go ahead.’ When my explanation arrives, judge only what I wrote and don’t credit me with steps I skipped. First tell me what someone new to this would believe if my explanation were all they had. Then quote each place where I skipped a step, leaned on a word I never explained, or said something untrue, and fix it in two sentences. End with a plain verdict: I understand it, I understand part of it, or I’m repeating words. If you’re not certain of a correction, say so and tell me where to confirm it. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
