The prompt

Give me a ladder of five riddles about , one at a time, each harder than the last. Before you ask each one, check it yourself: it should have one best answer, and every line should fit that answer. Classics are fine, and if I say I’ve heard one, swap it. Wait for my guess. If I’m wrong, give me a hint, not the answer, up to two hints per riddle. If my answer is different from yours but fits every line, count it and say so. Stop when I miss one after two hints or clear all five. Then tell me which rung I reached and explain how the hardest one I faced was built.
