The prompt

I wrote the piece below for . Now it has to work for . Before you rewrite anything, give me a short list: what the new reader already knows, what they don’t, what they care about that the first reader didn’t, and so what should be cut, added or moved to the top. Then rewrite it for them at about the same length. Keep the facts and keep it sounding like me. Don’t talk down to them, and don’t just swap in simpler words. If this reader needs a fact the piece doesn’t contain, don’t invent it. Tell me what’s missing. Here is the draft:

Write on any underline. A blank you leave empty stays in [brackets] when you copy. What you type is kept on this device and nowhere else.

Tell us it worked.

Ran it and got something you could use? One tap, no account. It is how the next reader knows what to try.

Pass it on.

Send the question, not your answer. Whoever opens it gets the prompt and makes it their own.

Make a result card.

Got an answer worth keeping? Paste a line or two and it becomes an image you can post.
