The prompt

Write a short story with me as the hero. My name is , and the genre is . My most ordinary skill is , and the story should turn on it: the moment everything hangs on is solved by that skill and nothing flashier. About 300 words, in the third person, with one companion, one real setback and an ending that earns a smile. Play it straight. The world of the story takes the skill completely seriously, and nobody winks at the reader. Give it a title. Don’t make me braver or cleverer than a normal person. The fun is that I’m not.
