The prompt

Tone

I want to work out what I’m known for at work. Don’t answer yet. Ask me up to seven questions, one at a time, about what people come to me for, what I get thanked for, which meetings I’m invited to and left out of, what my last review said, and what I’d like to be known for. Then give me the one sentence colleagues would probably use to describe me, the answers it rests on, and how far it is from the reputation I want. Finish with two things to start doing where others can see them, and one thing to stop. Don’t flatter me. You’re working from my account only, so say which parts are guesses and who at work I should ask to check. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
