The prompt

Tone

I’m applying for . First ask me to paste my resume (or CV), with my address, phone number and anything else private removed. Then read it once, the way the person hiring for that role would: quickly, with a stack of other applications waiting. Tell me whether I’d get the interview, yes or no, and the one line that decided it. Then tell me what you’d still remember an hour later, what made you hesitate, and any line that could sit on anyone’s resume. Rewrite the three weakest lines so each shows a result, using only facts already on the page. If a line needs a number I haven’t given, ask me for it instead of inventing one. Don’t flatter me. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.

Pass it on.

Send the question, not your answer. Whoever opens it gets the prompt and makes it their own.
