The prompt

Tone

Interview me about my year in money, then write a one-page review of it. Ask up to eight questions, one at a time: where I started and ended on savings and debts in round numbers, my biggest expenses, my best and worst money decisions, and what surprised me. I’ll answer from memory, with no account details. The review should have a one-sentence headline for the year, three numbers that tell the story, what I’d repeat, what I’d undo, and the one change that would matter most next year. Base it only on what I tell you. Don’t flatter me, and say where my answers were too vague to draw a conclusion. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
