The prompt

My partner and I want a regular check-in so small things get said before they grow. We’ve been together , and lately most of our talk is about . Ask me up to three questions, one at a time, about what a good week between us looks like and what tends to go unsaid. Then design a 20-minute monthly check-in: five questions we each answer, ordered to start easy and end warm, and one ground rule for when a hard topic comes up. Build them from my answers, not from a generic list. Every question should be one I’d be willing to answer myself, and none should be a complaint in disguise. Tell me which one might feel loaded from my partner’s side, and how to soften it.
