The prompt

Tone

I want an honest picture of what kind of friend I am. Don’t answer yet. Ask me up to seven questions, one at a time, about real recent moments: the last time a friend needed something, who I reached out to this month, a plan I canceled, how I reacted to a friend’s good news. Then describe me as a friend in three parts: what I reliably give, where I go missing, and what a close friend might wish I knew but wouldn’t say. Point to my answers as evidence. Don’t flatter me, and say where you’re guessing. End with one small thing to do this week for one specific person. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
