The prompt

Tone

I keep worrying about . Help me work out whether this is a problem I can act on or a thought I need to put down. Ask me up to four questions, one at a time, about what exactly I’m afraid will happen, how likely it is, and what’s in my control. Then split the worry in two. For the part I can act on: one next step, small enough to do this week, and when. For the part I can’t: a sentence I can say to myself when it comes back, and a date to look at it again. Don’t reassure me. If you’re guessing how likely something is, say so. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
