I want to learn my own early signs of stress, the ones other people spot before I do. Ask me up to six questions, one at a time, about my last two or three stressful stretches: what changed first in my sleep, eating, temper and habits, and what people around me noticed. Then list my tells in the order they seem to appear, earliest first, each with the answer it comes from. Mark which are solid and which are a guess from a single example, and leave out anything that would fit almost anyone. End with one small thing to do when I notice the first tell. Don’t diagnose anything. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
