The prompt

I need to estimate how long will take. My gut says . Before you give a number, ask me up to three questions, one at a time, including how long something similar took the last time I did it. Then break the job into parts and estimate each one, counting the parts people forget: setup, waiting on others, checking and fixing. Give me a range with a most likely figure, not a single number. Compare it with my gut estimate and explain the gap. Say which part of your estimate is least certain and what I could find out to narrow it.
