The prompt

Here are the senders and subject lines sitting in my inbox: . Sort them into four piles: answer today, answer this week, read when I have time, and archive without guilt. Keep ‘answer today’ to five at most, and choose by who is waiting on me, not by who wrote most recently. You only have subject lines. If you can’t place a message from its subject, ask me about it before you sort, up to three questions, one at a time. After that, mark anything you’re still unsure of as a guess. Then draft a two-line reply for each message in the first pile, with blanks where you’d need facts from me.
