The prompt

Tone

Help me review my year before I plan the next one. Don’t summarize yet. Ask me up to eight questions, one at a time, moving through the year in order: what happened, what took more out of me than I expected, what I’m quietly proud of, and what I’d skip. Then write a one-page review with these parts: the three things that mattered most, one thing I’m underrating, one thing I gave too much to, and what I’d repeat. End with a title for the year in six words or fewer. Use my words where you can, and mark anything that is your reading and not something I said. Don’t inflate it into a triumph or a tragedy. If it was an ordinary year, say so. Be direct. No padding and no reassurance I did not ask for.
